Mizoram government is planning to set up a ropeway between Aizawl-Sairang railway station and Lenpui airport in the state. The project aims to improve transportation between the state capital and Lengpui and also to boost tourism. The project will also connect Sairang railway station. Aizawl Sustainable Urban Transport Project (ASUTP) may implement the project with funding from Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation (UD&PA) department and external funding
