Mizoram government is increasing its solar power plant capacity in the state. It has recently commissioned 2 MW solar power plant in Tlungvel. The state government is also constructing 20 MW solar power plant in Vankal in Khawzawl district and near Saitual town.
The new solar power plant will reduce the state government dependencies where it imports power.
